πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» OBS Setup: Step-by-Step

  1. Download & Install OBS Studio

  2. Configure Basic Settings

    • Go to Settings > Video

      • Base (Canvas) Resolution: 1920x1080

      • Output (Scaled) Resolution: 1280x720 (or 1080p)

    • Go to Settings > Output

      • Bitrate: 2500–6000 kbps (depends on your internet speed)

      • Encoder: x264 (for most systems)

  3. Add Scenes & Sources

    • Create a new Scene.

    • Add Sources like:

      • Display Capture (for full screen)

      • Window Capture (for apps)

      • Video Capture Device (for webcam)

Two Options:

1. Use Restream.io or similar platforms

  • Select MUX and Add your MUX stream key + all other platform credentials

  • You can route your OBS output to multiple destinations via Restream

2. Stream directly to multiple endpoints (advanced)

  • Use OBS plugins like Multiple RTMP Outputs Plugin

  • Requires manual configuration of multiple stream keys and endpoints

  • Slightly heavier on CPU
